It sounds like there is plenty to do without a cruise Friday night.
I'll see some of you down at the car show on Saturday.

Northern Colorado Cruise 7/29/11
I don't know if we're actually going to make one happen, but I'm up for suggestions for locations. I'm free this weekend which is rare, so if anyone wants to meetup then let me know. We are way to inactive up North. We should be getting out and showing off our cars more!

Lol, 500hp alone in a 2500lb car should get you into the 11s by itself. Add a 100 shot and some slicks and I would think you'd be in the 10s. I tuned my carb today and dyno'd Ms. Budweiser. My previous numbers were 270hp/306 tq. I had planned on building the 406 to get to the 400tq mark on motor th...

Landon out of Iowa is running 10s with his SBC miata. My goal is 11s. It can be done, but it is a simple fact that our cars are not fast out of the hole. You have to be able to get it on the big end. I'm building a 500hp 406ci to replace my 327. With a 100hp shot I should be cruising into the 11s ea...

That's a hell of an investment! Although, the car is original to say the least! When just looking at the motor/tranny, it doesn't seem to bad, but you're right, when taking on a project like that, things really start to add up. Next time we have a meet going on, I don't suppose you would mind takin...

What if you were able to install some hard rubber between the firewall and the base of the link? That way it will take some of the violence out of the link and maybe mitigate chances of cracking the head. Not sure if that would work but in my mind it does LOL. I like where you are going with that. ...

If you don't mind me asking, how much would a setup like yours end up costing someone like myself? This is what I have spent: $700 - car, i stole it  $1500 - SBC engine (heads + block + machining) $500 - Muncie transmission $1200 - Martin's rear end kit $200 - Martin's front springs $400 - cu...

Ron, I talked with Martin about the additional engine support. He said that it is not necessary, but for track duty and extremely hard "romping" the alternator fan can get close to the radiator hose. That is the big issue. If yours has plenty of clearance then you don't have an issue. If it is close...

That was a great time! Bellalyssa, you cook an awesome burger! Eric, that was a blast, and I can't thank you enough for you opening your home and shop to all of us. When I left I went of to my buddy's house. We did some header fitup and welding for his twin turbo 383 in his '70 Chevelle. It should b...
