Was he still tuning the GT500? Might have been showing bad AFR's so he was taking it easy.

Cant factor in power as the end all be all... something else is the MS3 has to use 3 gears to hit 60. I really dont think the MS3 is in the top of its category at all. Weight and size is huge...you have more road to use than an evo and should be able to carry more speed through most of the corners t...

The last owner did a home resurface project...considering it was a dremel + rattle can job its not bad...but its no where near professional looking.

Wow wonder if it was because of the elevation or differences in cars...the stage 2 tune put me at 18 tapering to 14 and I didnt see boost cut when the car was warmed up. I was at like 100 ft elevation at the time too though.

The off the shelf tunes are pretty good...good enough for a road going car. The only way I would pay for a custom tune is if you modded beyond the OTS maps or your pretty serious into racing. I live in Aurora...we have to do one anually so I just assumed it was a statewide thing...if you dont have to comply with emissions than thats all the better...one less thing to worry about :-)

No because you will still have the stock second cat and muffler. In order to have a chance at passing an emissions test ull need a catted downpipe too.

No real reason to replace behind the downpipe unless your trying to change the exhaust note...you get so little power its not worth it. I would just do the DP.

Id fork out the cash for a CP-E or another company that does alot of R&D. Especially in an emissions heavy state like CO you have to be careful what type of exhaust mods you do. I would talk to people that have passed emissions with a downpipe and find out what they are running. I have had good luck...
