Re: Build thread

I think you guys are on the right track. If you could....and by no means am I an electrical guy. I would first wire battery to starter directly. if good, you know its something between the starter and battery. If bad.....starter or battery issue right? Just wondering, could this be a bad alternator?...

Re: Build thread

I am glad you got the EFR 8374 to fit on your car. I think you will be really fast with this turbo as the power delivery is so smooth.

Re: Build thread

I just want to figure out if it's still 51/49 or what, and get the exact weight so I can get springs close to that weight. At this point I'm thinking of getting 9/9, but I want to see what the balance is first. If it's close, I'll probably go with that. Just to let you know that the motion ratio on...

Re: Build thread

even if you knew the weight of your car at each corner, how are you going to determine what springs you want? I shot for a ride frequency around 1.5 Hz, mine comes out to 1.54 front and 1.53 rear, I also mimic'd the stock spring rate split front to rear as mazda did the R&D on this split, and I ...

Re: Build thread

- Fuel pumps are overpowering regulator when pressure increases showing pulsation in pressure.

This shouldn't have a *

Also, perhaps you have a vacuum leak to the fuel pressure regulator. forgot to add that one.

Re: Build thread

Problem Statement/Given: - Small fuel pulsations at low loads 3PSI or so. - Large fuel pulsations at high loads, over 30PSI. this correlates with higher pressure and higher injector duty cycle. - dual pump configuration with a Y. sensor located in back of fuel system plumbing - parallel fuel system ...

Re: Build thread

I am going out on a limb here, pulsing voltage to the pumps, and the pumps fluctuate due to the voltage differences?

I know, its a stretch, but is the voltage steady to the pumps?

Re: Build thread

Could the fuel pump regulator on the pump itself be bad?

Typically fuel pressure fluctuates when the internal regulator on the pump goes bad. Might only be on 1 pump.

Re: Build thread

This guy is doing something of what I would do. route air to blow in the general area of the brakes and let the brakes suck it up as they act like an air pump.

Re: Build thread

What about running a 295 30 18 tires all around on 11.5" wheels. You can also not duct the brakes and run aggressive brake pads and go all out on the tires and wheels. Perhaps there are brake ducts that don't need the duct, but route cold air from underneath the car? If you find some let me kno...

Re: Build thread

are you thinking about going 11.5" wheels? or 11" wheels?

the Zii are 10.7" tread width. run them on a 11" wheels. slight stretch. perfect. They will fit on a 11.5" wheel though.
