Oil and Gas Development
I'm a bit dismayed in my current housing location. The City and County of Broomfield last night passed a new MOU with Extraction O&G, basically after being threatened with additional development if the offer wasn't accepted. What's done is done. Now, I went from a residential neighborhood with s...

Re: Car haulin
Sweet. Would you save that much space for being able to open the doors if the fenders were movable/positionable? Wouldn't the tires still be in the way? Nice work!

Re: The new Taco
In the long list of cars, the Tacoma has now reached a new level...it's second only behind my '96 Yukon in terms of length of ownership. I have some time to catch up to that one, though. I had it 4 years! Ha.

Re: Do you change your own oil?
You still have time to take advantage of the rebate. It's valid until Oct 31. I received my rebate check yesterday. With the $12 off per 5qt jug, it knocks the price down to $10 for each jug. I picked up 2 and have one stashed for the next oil change. Even though WalMart isn't listed in the "so...

Re: The new Taco
A spouse that isn't terribly keen on yearly car swaps cuts down on that too. Don't think for a second I haven't wanted to at some point. I had a plan to sell the truck and buy an 95-97 Land Cruiser. Getting into something older though guarantees working on it, which then guarantees I'll get tired of...

Re: The new Taco
With the rain lately, it's been nice having the cover on the bed. My son's hockey season has started back up, and being able to keep his gear dry in the bed, instead of smushing it in the back seat with him is good. I also really like that it's lockable. I have 2 years left to pay on it, I'll throw ...

Re: 1967 Mercury Cougar
I had a guy offer me $4500 for it today. I told him no. Looking forward to getting it spiffy, eventually.

Re: 1967 Mercury Cougar
Quote on the front end: $3k. Yikes. That was from one place, need to find a couple of other shops. For that, fix the front end, fix rust on door, respray door/hood to blend.

Re: 1967 Mercury Cougar
At $1 each, I just replaced the plugs. I've been investigating body work. One interesting thing I've discovered is that the opposite side corners (so front passenger to driver's rear) wheel arches are the same. Conveniently, I'll be replacing the passenger side front fender, and the driver's side re...

Re: 1967 Mercury Cougar
Took the car out tonight. It's running like complete garbage. I don't know what happened, but barely enough power to get back up the hill to my house. Definitely seems like something ignition/timing/etc related. I'll work on that stuff tomorrow. Crap.
