Pleasure meeting you all, and thanks for helping out the newbies that I brought along. They enjoyed it a great deal, and they will most certainly be back for more.

+1 on normal. If you were to put a boost gauge on an N/A car, it would behave pretty much the same, vacuum at idle and it would approach ambient pressure as you opened the throttle more and more.

Any room to put a 270* box in there? Those are always fun.

Blame the accountants for cheapifying everything they can get their hands on. Personally, I'd rather pay for a touch of overengineered systems, and increase Mean Time Between Failures by an order of magnitude. Despite being out of manufacturing, a touch of failure mode and effect analysis still runs...

How to run a private track day

So there's a sudden influx of sports cars and sports sedans here at work (A few STIs, a 'vette, a Maserati), and they're all itching to go play. I've participated in a few private track days at PMP and Laguna Seca, but never tried to run one. Anyone know where to start? Contacts at either PMP or HPR...

I'm going to recommend notebookreview.com, filling in their 'what notebook should i buy' survey and posting it in their subtopic forum of the same name. Link And then keep an eye out for coupons on that site, and you should be able to pick up a 1300+ machine for under 1k, but typically only Windows ...
