nice cruise, or, trips I would't want to make in a snowstorm

Not really sure where to post this, just curious where people drive or like to drive for fun. This is what I did today in the mz3 sport, lots of high-elevation driving. Someone at a cafe nearby had mentioned I should check out some of the backcountry north of Silverthorne, so I drove back there and ...

White (?!) 2010 MX-5 Miata

This morning, I passed a white 2010 MX-5 Miata with the top down on US-285N between the Turkey Creek Road and Indian Hills exits around 9am this morning, same color as my mz3 s sport. It was being driven by an older guy, and I wondered if that might have been anyone here. I'm a little confused, thou...

What part of Evergreen are you in? I grew up in Hiwan, so technically Bergen Park. Well, I spent the first year in Evergreen in a rental cottage about a block above the Little Bear Saloon, and then another 18 months in two rented townhouse in succession Wah Keeny Park (both were foreclosed when the...

first oil change

So, I just got the first oil change performed on my new '10 mazda s sport... at 568 miles on the odometer. Does that mean I'm silly and overprotective? For what it's worth, I probably will wait for 3568 for next one.

That run looks simply epic. And I find it endlessly fascinating to see how different vehicles have the upper hand on the Pike's Peak hillclimb as the course itself changes. Weren't AWD Audis the undisputed leaders in the 80s? But I guess they've added a lot of pavement, particularly that recent stre...

Rectangular fog lights as opposed to the round ones on the MS3. Welcome aboard Chromal! Who was your salesmen there at Groove? I just bought mine a few months ago and got out of there with a great deal too. I like that Crystal White Pearl color....looks sharp. Les Gum, an older gentleman. He approa...

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Geo2maz, see my PM. :) I like the way the white looks under a variety of lighting conditions. Plus, less fortunately, I live just off a dirt road with no garage, and so any vehicle is difficult to keep clean, but, I think the brown powder is a little less e...

another noob

Well, hello! Colorado front-range transplant here, moved here from back east in 2006. I've joined a few other Mazda forums, but am happy to see one full of drivers facing the same unusual circumstances Colorado can create for driving and caring for vehicles. I decided I needed to probably get anothe...
