Re: Build thread
The fans aren't intermittent, they don't come on by themselves at all LOL. But I usually leave the AC on which keeps the fans on, so it's no big deal. I also have a warning light on my water temp gauge, and I would imagine that Chris put a failsafe in place so it doesn't overheat, but I'm not posit...

I'm so jealous...that looks like so much fun! Just proves that you don't need massive amounts of horsepower to have fun & run fast laps. You've got b@lls though. I'd be scared about playing "bumper cars" with that much traffic on the track. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the trac...

Re: The Ẽfini 7
Nice lap! Are you planning on porting your new motor? It's funny that you're already preparing to blow the rotary that your currently rebuilding, lol. There's got to be a way to make rotaries more bulletproof.

Re: Build thread
Sorry to hear you're still having issues with the drive-ability of your car. If your fans are intermittent, I highly, highly, recommend you park your car until it's fixed. When my fans went out...I didn't take any chances and towed the car home. It's just not worth it, imho. If you have safety preca...

I think spare tires may be on their way to extinction on modern vehicles...or at least on modern day sports cars. My CTS-V ditches the spare tire from the factory. A can of sealant and compressor sit in its place, lol.

If you see a 30psi drop at high loads then it will show on the AFR. IF it drops 30psi the engine will lean out as simple as that. If is not leaning out then the sensor might be bad or picking up noise. totally agree. I disagree....I don't think the word "simple" can be used when describin...

Re: Build thread
Eric, Either your motor demands the fuel of a 1,000hp dragster, your duel pumps (running in parallel) were designed for a slightly modified honda civic, or you have some serious vacuum or fuel leaks. I doubt any of those are true, but with a 30psi drop in fuel pressue, the math just isn't working ou...

I usually take the FD out for a quick spin around the Springs on my Sunday morning coffee run. If you're interested in grabbing some coffee & taking the 7's out on Sunday's...lmk. I try to take the 7 out at least once a week. Are you going to the Saturday car show in Sep? We can probably do a mo...

I wouldn't be disappointed with those results. With our power-to-weight ratio, that's nothing to sneeze at. Besides, more (expensive) things start to break when you start to fiddle around the 600whp territory. Great numbers! Now let's see some track times :D COLORADO FD super tuning battle of peace!...

Haha, the bug always bites. Chris said the car would be ready by the end of the month so I'm planning to get it then. I'll be down for several cruises this fall before I deploy again. I'm dying to actually. The bug does always bite :-( To be honest, what I've been itching to modify for years is my ...

Re: FDEEZ's Project "V"
Crashed an annual LSX cruise this weekend. With over 30 cars, it became quite interesting during heavy, bumper-to-bumper traffic on the way to Eisenhower Tunnel. But when traffic did open up, it became even more interesting (I'll let you guess what these 500hp cars would do). Due to that, I probably...

Re: Must Have: Milwaukee Cordless Rachet & Impact Wrench(s)
what do you think about the Milwaukee tools? My brother bought a Milwaukee impact driver and didn't like it. I've always been partial to the Makita impacts. Hey Chris, I can't vouch for Milwaukee's impact drivers (since I've got a brushless Dewalt driver). When I was in the market for a driver, the...
