but today my friends and i took out my recirc fitting on my ssqv and ghettorigged a plug for the recirc hose...some duct tape over the hose then tightened the clamp back up just so we didnt lose the clamp...haha...but yeah it sounds so much better, and believe it or not it pulls just as hard and runs just fine. Im probably running a bit richer but i dont think thats gonna be a problem if i run VTA for a few days or even a week untill i can get a tune from MAC. anyone running a ssqv should try this some time it sounds SICK!
by the way i know it was kinda dumb and hella ghetto but dont flame me haha

It won't affect power, it just makes you go hella rich between shifts because it'sexpecting recirc'd air that's no longer there and it's still putting in the fuel to go with that air.

yeah i knew that was gonna happen haha and ive only had like maybe 3 backfires since we switched to VTA but idk how much longer im gonna try to run it like this and as i was driving i noticed the pull wasnt any different than i remembered i was probably just experiencing the "Placebo" effect haha

VTA doesn't affect anything, accept the AFR between shifts...thats why it pulls just as hard...cause it didn't do anything lol

tweeking a/f won't help it much either, youll need to have it writen into your aftermarket ECU to cut fuel for a split second between shifts for it to not run rich.
you can also go out and buy a rubber plug from Lowes or Home Depot for a dollar...
