Throttle Body

Postby bobopud » Mon Apr 25, 2011 9:14

Decided to take a dump on me Friday morning. Car was fine thursday evening, friday morning I couldn't get it to stay running and when I floored it I could only get the tach up to 2k rpms. Car wouldn't move while in gear at all.

Got it towed to the shop friday morning and am picking it up in an hour or so. A sensor in the throttle body went out and in all of Mazda's engineering glory the whole thing had to be replaced. $600 for parts and $200 for labor.

FYI code thrown was P2100 Throttle actuator circuit open.

LOL +1

$300 for a tail light.... LOL.... if my 335xi wasn't under warranty, I probably wouldn't have bought it (even though I love the car, maintenance & repair costs are scary).
