How can we get more of the Denver people to show up at meets?

I'm in the mood to speak my mind about my situation... So nearly a year ago I graduated with my degree in computers and had been trying to get my career started. After six months of getting turned down at interviews due to lack of experience I thought maybe I could do something for the website here.. maybe write some scripts or whatnot for free.. in other words, add an extra line to my resume/associate myself with a working website/community. Never heard back from anyone here, but I never pushed the issue either. Well it still left me sour and I held a "grudge" so I never kept up to date on any events after that point.
It was pretty stupid to take a leave of absence over this. I've had nothing but good times with the meets, but hell, those long months of being ignored were some of the roughest months in memory.
With that out of the way, I like the idea of a once monthly meet up with 1 SINGLE place to get the info about the meet (like an edited 1st post of the thread).

^^^ What Regulator said. Keep the first post of the thread updated with all the details of where/when and it will help make it easier.
I'm more likely to try to go if it's a Friday or Saturday (I know this works for some and not for others, but I fall into the category of weekdays = bad). I'm totally there if I can drive Regulator's Speed.

For those that dont like weekends is Friday night ok? I absolutely cannot make other week nights. Also, I will be at HPR just about once a month as weather permits. Finally, Im about handy enough on the car for general maintenance but the rotary is certainly new so I would like the tech days at a private shop or someones garage. My garage is just big enough to get the car door open otherwise Id be down for having people here.
^^^ For help with rotaries, you will probably be better getting some help from the rotary owners themselves than a tech day. Chickenwafer has an FD now but had a heavily modded 8 before that, and he seems to know everything and then some about rotaries. Tech days will probably end up with more piston folk than rotary owners.

The problem is we do not have access to that part of the site. Tim has been trying to get it for over a year. All we can do is basic moderation. If you look at the site we are still on vBulletin Version 3.8.0 and the latest version is 4.1.7. Tim has wanted to update it for quite some time but hasn't been able to.

Simply resurrected the previous one with date/time/locale. I won't lock this thread as people get willy-nilly over locked threads, but peruse the thread in the meets section.
Next metro-Denver area meet: Thursday Dec 8, BWW Park Meadows
Following up on Chris's post, since the transfer of ownership, our ability to do anything more than moderate posts/users is nil. We (meaning the remaining active "moderators" on the site) can't access any of the hosting servers, nor have licensing information to adequately address updating forum software or anything of the purchased add-ons. Thus, anyone offering technical assistance, we really can't accept the offer at this time (or in well over a year or two) since we can't even do it ourselves. While off topic to this thread, I figured I'd address the concerns posted within this thread, since they were given as a reason to remain absent from the site.

Really? Thats very interesting, as there were more rotary owners than piston people at the meet at my shop. Same for the car show at MOL.
I can host a meet at the new shop fairly soon if the populace wants, maybe in the next week or so. Fair number of ROTARIES and a piston engine or so are in residence, so bring yours and lets make a party out of it. I am thinking next Saturday, so lets get on with it.

I agree completely. At the Eric's up in Littleton, we had about a 50-50 mix of rotary vs piston.
I would be up for a meet at your place. Start a thread when you get a chance.
