speaking of. Anyone know how hard it is to change oil in an 08 mz3?

It is not too difficult. I have an 2007 and I am sure there is not really any changes in the changing of the oil. The only problem I found was the little hole in the plastic covering, where you reach through to unscrew the oil filter; does not line up with the filter. This means any run off from the block or filter ends up filling up in the palstic panel. Was quite a mess. Before the next change I think I will be cutting a new hole that lines up with the oil filter. If I am doing something wrong here, feel free to chime in and educate me before I go cutting a new hole in the plastic pan.

You're supposed to remove the panel to access the filter. The hole that's there isn't meant to be used to take the filter out.

I have a personal experience with a Grease Monkey, around 1st and Wadsworth, not changing the oil filter. My oil seemed to get dirty rather quickly after their "change" and when having the oil changed at the next interval I had the technician save the filter cartridge for me, sure enough, it was the the OEM filter the dealer had put in at the previous change. I didn't bitch, I just won't be back, and I'll tell everyone that will listen.

I don't like how the "other" option says WalMart or other knock-off oils! LOL

I use Idemitsu, it's a specific rotary oil. But I've also used Castrol GTX and Royal Purple. And in my truck I use Valvoline.

Castrol GTX non synthetic.

I have the lifetime oil changes through Bob Penkhus so I do them every 2500 miles. Castrol for in between fill ups.

Royal purple ftw.

I had my first oil change done at the dealer for free. Now it's time to do it myself. I'm actually looking forward to it!

I use whatever Dave at ColoradoLand Tire uses haha, I'm w/ Bree on trusting those guys down there (whatever thread she said that in). I've had a lot of the work on my 3 done there, and will take my 6 there as well, granted its a little bit more difficult now that I work during the day and soon will be going to school right after work most days.
