I went out and bought Forza 3 last weekend and ended up buying a black mazda speed 3 on the game. I liked it so much in the game that I ended up going and buying one in real life 3 days later. (ok maybe I was planning on it before the game but still)

I had Forza 3 reserved for months, heh. I bought a red SRT-4 and a red MS3 as two of my first cars, both of which I have owned in real life. The SRT-4 is a beast in a straight line but man does the MS3 handle great for a FWD car. I beefed it up to run in C class races and was owning RX-7s. Handles like it's on rails with very little understeer. The SRT-4, while I will always love it being my first quick car, understeers like crazy and you even have to be careful on the gas coming out of turns or you will push real bad.

I've moved on to other cars now that my MS3 is level 5 but I do like to come back and drive it every once in a while. Cockpit view FTW! They got the interiors dead on in both the SRT-4 and MS3. I'm sure the others are correct too, I can just personally vouch for those two.

Do you guys race with all the assists off? I have everything turned off and use manual but I do use the clutch assist (meaning I don't have to activate the clutch to shift, just hit a button). I feel like I'm very hampered by ABS, Traction Control, and Stability Control when I have them on. I feel like I have way more control of the car without them and actually run faster times.

^^^I completely agree. The cockpit view in the RX-8 is right on too. The only mode I race in. I too race without any assists besides the clutch. I also have the brake line on but thats it. AI is set to hard. My 8 is maxed out for class A. When I reach the next class events I will upgrade it.

Yea I maxed my RX8 out at 599 for A, but I'm still having serious handling issues. I have a Renault Clio that's the middle of A class which seems to handle twice as well. In a straight line I love it, but damn what happened to the awesome handling of the 8?

I didn't put any power upgrades on my MS3. But I did just about everything else and kept it in the C Class. It drives and handle like a dream right now. I don't want to add power and ruin it...

Jimmy, I starting modding an RX-8. The first mod I did was to do an engine transplant (highest output available, forget the model) and it handles pretty decent. I didn't do the roll cage, and I'm not skidding around as much as you were in those races from last week. Did you tune your car and add more downforce?

I got it all figured out. I'm sure with this tune If I go all out to S Class I'll be sliding back around and all but I did whoop a couple Porches, A Ferrari California and a C6 Corvette on Nurburgring.

My Current setup that is bound to change a little for more speed on the straights without sacraficing too much ahndling I hope.

The ferrari california is my R3 car. It does tend to skid around a little, and I usually lose ground on the corners, but I pull ahead on the straight aways. I'm on season 4 and the Hard races are definitely hard to place in first. I really need to get a true 'super' car.
