I've seen a few control arm/ball joint breakages on the side of the road so far this year from similar collisions.

Well, my wheel is shot, hopefully i can find one on CL for cheappp, or if someone wants to donate one
And as far as other damage goes i have no clue, alignment is off. Tomorrow morning im taking it to my shop to have them look over it. Im so bummed that this happened. Its still drivable, i put my spare on so the tire isnt rubbing against the wheel well liner. Fingers crossed it doesn't cost and arm and a leg. I railed that curb so hard. It doesn't help that my car lacks traction control and ABS hah. My old 93 Acura Legend even had those.

Hopefully yours wasn't as bad as mine, but I needed new inner and outer tie rods, a new swaybar, a new lower control arm, and some bushings I believe along with an alignment to the tune of $1200. And I'd be very cautious driving even on the spare. You don't want to make it any worse.

I hit a pretty big curb and I was going faster than you were as well. I doubt your car will be as damaged as mine.
For reference, this is the curb I hit, and my friend is pretty sure I am actually the cause of that chip in the concrete.

*This* is why I don't drive my car in the winter (looks away).
Seriously though, that sucks. Sadly, I would concur with Huzer on the potential for further damage. Hopefully you have an honest shop taking a look at her...

Most of the time when you hit a curb you will bend things specially If the alignment is off right away. Tie rods have a jam nut, when you hit the curb the nut is not going to back off lol. The other is the lower control arm is the same thing a bolt is not going to back off if you hit something throwing the alignment off. So expect the worst, sorry dude. Thats why I moved from CO

Well the verdict is in, buckled lower control arm, which is pushing the axle back and creating strain on the tranny. $403 to fix the control arm and get an alignment, plus another $100 for a wheel. And they arent even sure if that'll fix the problem but there's no way to know until they have a good wheel on. Slight possibility ill need a new axle and wheel bearing. Currently looking into buying the parts and having a friend do it for me for cheaper.

I was looking at a Mazda parts website the other night and it looks like the lower control arm is about $150 or so. And I do believe it's a fairly simple part to replace. I was going to take on my repair myself if it was just a control arm.
