mazda cul-de-sac...whoo hoo! I am the only 6 on my block and I like it that way...but I am seeing more
and more out and about..

I am the only Mazda in our neighborhood that I am aware of. It's nice, but I'd like a few more so we actually have something of substance to talk about.. [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/61424796.gif[/img]

Our old neighborhood was full of Mazdas.. There was another CX-7 and a CX-9 in there, plus a few 3 sedans.. Now where we live there is a 6 hatch, 3 hatch, and a couple other 6's.. I tagged them all, but no one wants to join I guess.
I got onto mcx7.com and let them know about this site, and told them to come over so I would have some friends. lol, one guy thought he was already a member here, but just never comes on because he is already a member to so many clubs.

I'm working hard on getting people to join here, just no luck! [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/26fdf3e6.gif[/img]

I've got a few in the area. Maybe I'll walk the pup when I get home this afternoon. My neighbor has a black 3 hatch, and while he seems to be somewhat of a car guy, doesn't seem like the car club type of guy. I mentioned it to him and got a lackluster response. Oh well.

Wait, wasn't this thread about my GF driving the car? Haha!

She wants to stay with an SUV. I think she views the RX-8 as a toy. Haha.

I offered a buddy of mine the chance to drive my Speed6. He refuses, as he is afraid he'll want to get a turbo for his Impreza 2.5 RS. So far, I am the only one to drive my car since I've owned it.

Funny, the girl just called and she wants to go look at either an FJ Cruiser or a 4Runner. Guess I gave her the bug.

Wait, wait. You LET her drive your 8? I cringe every time my wife wants to drive the 6. It's not her driving skills -- she's more careful than I am. It's that when I get in it, the seat will be wrong, the mirrors wrong, some twangy-ass country music CD will be in, the radar detector will be down (suction cups off, of course) and there will be women's purse-crap all over. Tissues. Hair pins. Etc.

Oh, and that means I don't have access to my 6, which is my home away from home.

I applaud you (and simultaneously cringe) for letting her drive it. But consider this -- her Escape probably gets better mileage. [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img]

We looked at the FJ. TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, AWFUL rear visibility. If she's driving around town, I STRONGLY recommend against it. The 4-Runner is MUCH better in that department.

I don't mind people driving my other cars, but when it comes to my baby, the one car I put sweat and blood in, no one can drive it but me!
