Ouch that sucks. I just remembered I did this to the 8 back in the day. Was at a stop sign all iced over, started to make my turn right and got sucked into the drain in the corner. Curbed the rim and my car was dog-tracking nd the drunk driver light and steering wheel light went on. Luckily nothing bent. All I had to do was turn the alignment nuts in the back and everything was good.
Good luck and hope you don't need to dig to deep into your pockets.

So i removed the old control arm today and its pretty shot/buckled. Took me like 45 mins to get it out, one broken mallet and bloody knuckles, got the new one almost in but having trouble getting the ball joint part in to the tiny ### hole. Wasnt clearing the rotor so i messed with that for a solid half hour and its so rusted on there. Its cold outside and ive already spent several hours on this so ill probably return to it tomorrow after work.

Well well well, i got the new LCA in the next day, ive been driving on it with the spare and all seems to be great. My new wheel came in today so im going to get my tire mounted on that and i should be good to go. All in all im stoked i changed the control arm myself, got the experience plus saved a ton of money.

Alright, didnt want to start a new thread for this so ill throw it in here. My friend asked to help him repaint his car one day, pretty ambitious project. We used chalk board paint. We sanded the clear coat off, put down a layer of spray chalk board paint, and we used rollers to put the final coats on. It turned out super clean, with very minimal streaks. He plans to have murals on it and what not. Super creative. Paint was slightly wet when i took these so the streak went away for the most part. It was super cheap to do, and came out a very nice matte black. Maintenance is minimal, possibly a repaint every year or so.

Very brave sanding off the original clear coat, i take it he plans on keeping it like this for a long while?
