I also have 18x8.5 +45 Konig Kilograms on 245/40zr18 Hankook V12's wheels are on order.
I can't get the boost I want out of my tune and i was told that my MAF g/s look low. do you have a new log with the MAF g/s? I can get 19 to 20psi in the 3500 to 4500 range then it falls to 15psi fast and stays there.

no I have a forge bpv v2. not I don't have a boost leak. I just think its a denver thing. I haven't gotten a lot of replys. i just posted on MSF today and here just now. posting a log would be cool. that's the altitude in Pueblo? I a 3rd WOT pull. in 3rd at 2500-6500 WOT. they say on MSF that 3rd and 4th are the best.

cool thanks. I like modding my car. I did them all on my own.
Do you have the ATR software from Cobb? I can't get mine to upgrade to the 2280 version. it upgrades to 2212 and says it up to date.

Yea if you look back a page I've got me logs on a thread on msf too check those out I did 2, 3, 4 gear pulls. And idk the altitude here off the top of my head. And I'm pretty sure I have the latest software

it sucks that mines wont upgrade. I'm going to send cobb a PM on MSF.
I just googled your altitude. your 4692 ft. it looks like you are around 600 ft lower. should make that much of a difference.
Before you log again look at my post on MSF. My logs have the perimeters you should be logging.

Be careful playing around in ATR. It's real easy to screw up your map if you don't know what you're doing. Not saying you don't, just make sure you do before you change things.
Just so you know, you're MAF g/s is going to look low to someone at sea level. We don't have as much air up here and not much we can do about that. You're also not going to be able to hold 18psi all the way to redline if that's what you're trying to do. Holding 18 to 4500 and then tapering to 15 isn't bad. It's pretty normal actually. More boost up top isn't going to add much power anyway, since your turbo is already going to be well past its efficiency range as it is. There's only so much you can push through the little K04.

that's what I thought was going on. So I guess that I will turn done the Wastgate duty and boost on the top end. I was getting 20.5 psi around 4k. I turned it done and now I'm getting 19.5psi around 4k.
I know what you are talking ATR is a lot to learn. The Cobb stage 2 CS map wasn't good at all. I couldn't get boost like I wanted and the ATF was off. I think that it's because I'm in Denver. So I did some tweaking to it.

So I know this is a little late but are there levels I should be aware of when just cruising or part throttle hitting boost compared to WOT or does it not matter what my afr, etc are reading

At partial throttle your AFRs are determined by the stock wideband (closed loop). At WOT your AFRs are determined by your MAF an OL fueling tables (open loop). It is important to make sure that the LTFTs are within +/- 4%. As long as you are not knocking or getting bad fuel mileage around town your low throttle settings should be fine.
As for the boost. The hard taper is normal for this altitude. I hit 20 psi in 4th and taper to 15 by 6500. The stock compressor is at its limit. Some people say 16 psi across the board is the limit for this turbo at this altitude but I have found that there is area in the lower rpms (3000-5000) where the turbo can push more boost without compromising BATs. Is it healthy for the turbo? Doubtful but I don't care. First turbo had 40k miles of abuse and no shaft play.
I am not sure what you guys are logging for Maf g/s but I have hit 260 g/s when pushing the turbo on methanol and E85. My last run at Bandimere was a 13.8 with a filthy MAF sensor and pre meth. With the Meth and a clean sensor i have no doubt its possible to hit mid 13's on street tires at this altitude on a k04. In fact i would be out there trying to get that mark but i have a gt3076 arriving on Monday.
If you want to get into tuning with ATR don't be discouraged. It has a sharp learning curve but its well worth the effort and time.
Yea everything seems fine driving in the city, i still get good mileage and no knock.. thanks for the help
