.... you stole my thunder....boo! boo!
Whatever you decide to do.. DON'T use paint thinner to take it off... Ask Speedracer what happens..
I think they look awesome right now, but a clear coat might not hurt.[/b]

Why in the world would you let them soak in a bath. All I did when I was painting my 8 red was poor some in my hand and gave the 8 a good rubbing and poored as needed. I can't tell you haw many times I had to do it over cause I couldn't get the primer or paint to stick on the sharp corners. I think I should put it on even though I havn't went FI yet.

Did you use anything to clean off the surface? Isopropal (rubbing) alcohol I've found is the cheapest and best to clean before you paint. I only sanded before I sprayed because of the size of the 8. Looks nice, Shiny, and Smooth. Make sure your hands are super clean and only grab it by the edges after you clean it. and you shouldn't get bubles.

Problem is you have to take the chrome off to do it correctly which I'm doing to Lee's emblem. I've done them on my old 3 and they were fine. How are you drying them.
