I must have missed this in the test drive of the car. I don't remember hitting any bad bumps since I got it.

What do you think? Fixable, or new wheel needed?

No loss of air pressure, so it should be hammerable.

Take it back to the Dealership! You would definately know if you did that yourself even by accident...

See what the dealer says?

"It wasn't like that when we sold it to you!"

Unless you have pictures off their website (which are probably gone aby now, and they have no reason to pull out of backup for you assuming they do have a backup or archive)

Exactly. Pointless to try.

Still worth a shot.

I e-mailed the dealer and asked if they had another wheel or could pound out the dent. We'll see what they say.

Good luck. But I would say that most used cars are sold "as-is" except for factory warranty items or whatever extended warranty you may have purchased.

I'd use it as an excuse to get a new set of better looking wheels. I've never liked the look of the Speed 3 or 6 wheels.

I don't mind the look, but Mazda's OEM wheels always seem to friggin bend the minute I get them.

K. If they can't fix it, there's a guy on the 6 club selling a single MS6 rim for $60 + shipping.

Don't know how much a rim repair would cost, but for $60 plus shipping (probably $80 total), I'd say that would be the way to go. And if you really do have as bad of luck with OEM wheels, having a spare on hand might not be a bad thing. You can drop off the bent wheel at your convinience and pick it up whenever. If nothing else, you could maybe see about modifying the trunk space where the spare fits so you can have a full-sized spare tire. I know of a few Protege guys that have hammered out their trunk spare tire wells so they could fit a 17" wheel back there.

Spare tires? What are those? My car don't have one. :D
