Check this Focus out:

"Don’t be fooled by the looks of this test car. It is not the ordinary Ford Focus ST but the brand-new Focus RS. Looking closer at the front end one can see the bigger air intakes and the driver helps drawing the photographers attention by giving him the finger and putting his foot down. The sound of the 300-bhp engine was unmistakable, just like the car’s fast acceleration with four-wheel-drive and the rally-like sound of that dump valve while shifting gears. Add some wide fenders, a more aggressive front end styling and you have the Focus RS, a true competitor to the upcoming EVO X. "
If only Ford would wake up.... the Ford Focus has been the best selling car in the UK for almost a decade, and in 2001 & 2002, was actually the best selling car in the world.... then in 2004, all around the world, they released the MK2 Focus, which is built on the same chassis as the Mazda 3, it's been sold everywhere EXCEPT the U.S. Define irony- American car company that releases one it's best cars in every country EXCEPT it's home country. Hell, last year in the WRC, Ford took the Manufacturers Championship with the MK2 Focus, and the car has been praised throughout the world, but we're stuck with the far outdated MK1 Focus that was canceled years ago in the rest of the world.
What I don't understand, is with the success of the WRX/STI, EVO, Speed3 ect, why Ford wouldn't want to bring a car over here that would be direct competition? Like the Focus ST or upcoming/returning Focus RS? Maybe they just don't want a "lower" car on their line to receive more praise than the "mighty" Mustang lol. Either way, Ford's profits are down considerably, and by not releasing some of their truly awesome cars overseas like the MK2 Focus, Ford Mondeo, Ford Falcon ect, I can see why, they're to stupid to see that those cars might actually sell in their home country.... but instead, let's release more lack-luster boring cars that no one gives a shit about.... yeah, that's a great idea. Sorry, sometimes, I just don't understand corporate figureheads. [/rant]
