Mine is shot I think. Since the DP install, its nothing but smoke pulling away from a stop, and the lovely smell of burning oil is ever present.

So if anyone can keep their eyes open for some deals, lemme know. Have a feeling this is gunna take a while to get anywhere near the amount of money I need lolz.

I'll keep an eye out, I'm always searching the for sale forums even though I'm not trying to buy right now

Sorry to hear it 'Bot. I'm sure somebody else will probably catch it before I spot anything, but I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Yeah I'm most likely going to upgrade. Depends on how fast I can save money and how much I have before the turbo just shits the bed all together. But then I'll need a new exhaust mani, which is not gunna be cheap for the one I want...so yeah...this is gunna add up QUICK!!!

did you ever think that the missing gasket may help in playing a part in the oil pressure dropping in the system after the dp is installed? Weve established that unmetered air is already coming through there, makes sense it would play a factor. Also, (and I know you know this), a smoky turbo does not mean that the turbo is bad, only that the junk pcv system is screwing up.. Put the gasket in first, get the ptp oil pressure fix thingy, and go from there..

Now, if you are using this as an excuse to go BT (same reason I went big turbo), then more power to you!! Get that big turbo, cause that stock k04 is a POS...not cause it broken

I thought about that, but yes this is an excuse to go big turbo. Which I might have found one. Garrett T3 60 trim journal bearing (so no more coolant running thru the red hot turbo!!!). Which gives me an excuse to buy a new exhaust mani too hehe.

The nice thing about journal bearing turbo's is they don't require a restriction in the feed line like BB turbos.

I'd sell you my K04 but its pretty much f'cked...it don't spin freely very well!
I'll keep an eye out for snails as well!

Check out the BNR turbo rebuilds. They look pretty sweet.

His motor blew...so he has to get a new one of those, too.

Aw man! Threw a rod?

Check out LKQ. They may be able to help out if you need a new engine.

I'm not going with a BNR. Honestly for our cars its a waste of money. The hotside on our stockers is TINY!!! Basically a huge restriction. If I'm going with a BT its going to be a T3 GT30 (which I already have my eyes on one) granted at this point I think i'm putting the carriage before the horse...oh well...its a killer deal.

Dunno exactly what happened to be honest...and I looked at LKQ, its still gunna be cheaper to build it w/ forged internals than go thru those guys.

I already know what I'm going to do, its just a matter of time and money at this point. When I'm done tho, I guarantee I'll have the fastest speed in colorado.
