OK, I NEED HELP!

So today my car sat up and ****ed me. Straight up. No lube... literally, it left it all on the ground. My Shift Shaft is leaking like a bandit, and my timing cover gasket is shot. I was down to .7qt in the tranny, and who knows on the effing timing cover. I need to do the seals, sounds like the crank, the timing, the valve cover and whatever else. Anyone got advice? Anyone know anyone who wants to do this? I don't know the first thing about doing this. He said that timing cover job, getting the seals fixed on all is going to be around 750.00. FML. I don't know the first thing thats wrong with the transmission... HOW THE EFF does this shit happen on a 5 year old car. WTG Mazda jackholes.

The guy at MazTech said some bearing on the Shift Shaft or whatever probably went out which caused the leak. And taking the tranny apart to find out is the most expensive part of the whole thing! At least $300 or so...

I need help with either questions that I can ask to get the right answer.... help doing this... or help tying up a noose and hanging it over a sturdy banister... Any takers?

When was the last time the trans fluid was changed or checked?

Not sure how difficult replacing the bearing is...but refilling the fluid isn't too difficult. Resealing the timing cover doesn't sound like the most difficult thing in the world.

Could we link this to your old thread with a similar title? Not that the topics are the same...
