Got my Cobb AP today!

Postby Milcre » Mon May 02, 2011 9:14

I just finished installing and loading a map. I also started data logging. Should my DFP be reading at 1600 at WOT?

Yes, 1600 and up at WOT and you're good.

What value reflects a leak in BPV? boost #s?

You won't be able to see a leaky BPV from log numbers. Well, possibly wastgate duty cycle. If your WGDC is maxed out with just normal boost levels, it could be working harder to get the boost up to the target because of a leak. But you'd almost have to have a before log and an after log with the same parts and tune to be able to compare the two and see the difference.

At idle it should be in the 400s, but may occasionally dip down to like 350.

Are there any concerns about wastegate numbers? I went with a stage 2 map and now I'm seeing elevated wastgate #'s? Should I just switch it back or could someone tell me what a bad wastegate duty range/number is?

No. Stage 2 map is higher boost which means higher WGDC numbers as the WG has to work a little harder to hit the higher boost targets. What kind of WGDC numbers are you seeing? Can you post a log?

I will when I get home today. I think I remember seeing an 84. something if that makes sense.

I'm pretty sure that 99 is maxed so if it's getting to 84 then it's working hard but it's not maxed out.

I ran live data on my lunch and it showed a 96 so I'm lowering to a different stage II. I had it on the next hightest ots map so I'll see how it is on the one lower than that.

the high EGDC # is not harming anything, as the other Eric said, it is only a value referencing the amount the wastegate needs to pulse/stay closed to hit target boost. Lowering your target boost will in turn lower the wgdc. It doesnt "work harder", it is merely an electronic solenoid

Thanks for clearing that up Eric. I was explaining it badly.

I've noticed on some of my data logs that I will see FP dip below 300. It's never at WOT but should I be concerned about this? I will try to post a log on here tonight.
