i bought a 1988 honda crx about a month and a half ago. Its pretty shi*tastic lol. i had my buddy drive ye olde speed 3 vs my crx and the crx was faster. so the car has a motor swap from a JDM CRX SIR and the transmission from a 1995 gsr integra its gutted like no heater core or ac or any thing creature, besides my roll down windows. the car is on coilovers i believe ebay specials. i really like it for the money its good on gas and its a total rice box. but i love the thing it is so much fun to drive and cheap to fix.

NA CRX faster than an MS3 at this altitude? It has to have a ton of work done to it besides just the swap and weight reduction. Even gutted an MS3 should beat it. How much did you pay for the CRX?

Yeh, at 157bhp it's giving up about 100hp to the MS3, but the OP stated his CRX has extreme weight reduction done, though I find it crazy even dropping some weight makes it that fast.

Any plans to mod it some more DJ?

Nice job on the CRX. A friend of mine has one that puts 500 to the wheels. It's scary!

It's fully built but he's lucky if it runs consistently. At Bandimere he can do low 11s high 10s.

That also has to be forced induction, which OP did not mention his CRX is boosted. Then I'd believe it. Otherwise, they have to be racing 0-40 and the MS3 still hasn't hooked up yet, lol.

When I was a kid there was a yellow CRX that would smoke everyone, the damn car weighed nothing. It would always get a crazy jump on everyone and you could see cars catching up on the top end, but by then it was always too late.

I'd drive another CRX, if I could find a stock...hahahaha.

I've had two SIs in the past, an 85 and an 89. Both amongst my favorites that I've owned.
