You've got chickenwafer up in NoCo that knows everything there is to know about these cars and then some! Plus, your car would be faster than his!

Uh... well one of them popped... so I might have 3 good RS3s but I don't know. I am going to go by the shop tomorrow and see what can be salvaged and what can't. I know the rims are ####ed though which is sad :/

Glad you're OK. I thought you were leaving for England in a few? Why not get a really cheap car now (under $1k) that will last till you leave?

Well now that may be up in the air. Apparently the job thing isn't working out as well as I'd hoped it would. We are running into issues.

Glad you weren't seriously injured. At least you went into the mountain instead of off of it, right?
I have several friends with Audis. They are nice cars. I've never heard anyone say that A4s are for "teenage boys and women over 40." They are nice cars and I have friends of all ages that have owned A4s and A6s.

I saw this on your facebook, but wanted to say again that we are all glad you are OK, and also to make sure you're healthy and taken care of before you take any settlement from the insurance company.
I agree with Chris. Buy something cheap that can get you around for the time-being, then wait and see about the England situation.
Look at Hondas, or something that you are easily able to resell. Then test drive the shit out of cars. Take this as an opportunity to have fun and get exactly the car you want!

I've actually been looking at picking up an Avant. What's not to like? All-wheel drive, all the creature comforts and luxury, and the 1.8T motors are potent and loved to be tuned, and like most other motors, reliable as all hell if they're maintained properly.
I also haven't heard much about the "type" of people who own Audi's. But really, who cares? Get what you want.
I've been carpooling with a co-worker who has an 08 A4 and it's nice as hell. The interior is great, the climate control is sick, it rides nice and looks good.
I also think it's hilarious rotaries scare you. You know they only have 3 moving parts, right? Now complex valvetrain engines, don't get me started....
