Hey all, I was looking at getting a set of fog lights, not looking at HIDs, but a yellow bulb that would make for the appearance of HIDs. I'm going to do the McCulloch 8000k HID kit for the actual driving lights and wanted yellows below with only having to replace bulbs. Anyone know where I can get a set of yellow bulbs that are good quality and what size do the '06 fogs take? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John

On my old 3 i had a pair of Hoen Endurance fogs. http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog2.htm Toward the bottom, the Endurance bulbs. Now these bulbs are not super obnoxious yellow, as you can see they are made to match the same shade of yellow that most ALMS, Rolex series, ect cars use. And they match great! And they make the car a whole lot more visible at night. And imo provided me more light from the fogs than the stock bulbs did.
Not that great of shots:

I wish i still had them, probably going to buy a new pair.

Those are exactly what I was looking for. Nothing blinding or anything, but something that lit my car up. Do you know what size the stock fogs take on the '06 Mazda 6i?

Hmm i dont. Its in your owners manual for sure. But yeah since your cars in Will Vill ask around the 6 forums, or maybe Guido or another 6 will tell you. They are great bulbs! Great company as well!

Well I just figured out that that company is a no-go. The '06 6i takes an H3 bulb on the lower fogs and it doens't seem like the link that you gave me carries that bulb size. Any other places you can think of?

When the lights are on do they light up yellow? Or is there still some white hue to them? Cause that's just a film that overlays the light on the outside right?

I'll probably do that then. For the price it sounds like it's worth it.

Sounds good. Just post a couple of pics up in here once you get them in and on.
We haven't got them yet, but like I said should be in pretty soon. Once we get them on you can see a MS3 and MS6 and figure out if you want to get.[/b]
