A '53 MG took first and a mid 90's NSX took 2nd.

Have you driven a car with the factory Brembos? If so, how do you like the StopTechs in comparison? I'm looking at buying this Z that doesn't have the Brembos, and would probably upgrade eventually. I loved my Brembos on my G35...but I've heard great things about StopTechs too. They're quite a bit more expensive unfortunately.

I haven't. But during my brake research the factory Brembo's do well on the road course and the OEM non-Brembo's don't. (Trust me! ;)) Of course any upgrade to a large BBK is an improvement for heat displacement. So if you don't have any/many intentions of taking the Z to a auto-x and/or road course the OEM non-Brembo's will be fine. However I would suggest upgrading to the OEM non-Brembo StopTech Stage II kit. The kit includes; F&R Slotted or Drilled rotors, F&R Axxis Ultimate pads, F&R stailess steel lines, and 3-bottle of Motul DOT4 fluid. I had this kit before my ST BBK and its GREAT for dailt driving!!! Now if you have thoughts of becoming the next SCCA/NASA racing champ I would suggest at least the Brembo's or a BBK. Might want to also consider looking at buying a used set of G37S OEM brakes. They are silver and are at least, if not bigger, than my 4-pot/2-pot StopTechs. Also make note as you go larger on your brake set-up your wheel needs to be larger to clear the caliper. Hope this out you out some.

(Personal Opinion: Saved the money you'll be spending for the Z w/ Brembos and purchase a BBK. A front BBK is more than enough braking.)

Won't be tracking it often, if ever. I have another car for the track. :) Maybe a few open track days with car clubs, but that's it. I just want a fun second daily driver that I can have fun with in the canyons. That said the factory brakes with a good set of pads and stainless lines would probably work fine for me, but I'll look into a BBK too. Thanks for the info.

If that is your goal I suggest the StopTech Stage II kit for the OEM non-Brembos. You can find this kit for around $600 shipped. Good luck!!!

A daily 500whp has always been my goal. Although the 700BB kit (GT28's) are good for 700ish HP.

I'll upgrade the clutch but they'll both hold.
