Traded the Subaru in for the Miata. Guess I'm a full Mazda family now.
2010 Miata Touring with the Suspension Package and LSD. 9999 miles as I pulled back onto the lot after the test drive. Certified Pre-Owned, warranty out to 100k. Excellent condition. Very happy with the purchase.
This picture was taken 50 yards after pulling off the dealer lot after buying. lol.
Picked up a '10 Miata Touring yesterday.

I replaced everything I could (injector, coil pack, spark plug). It was down to 2 things...carbon build up on the valve, or low compression on #4. It was running pretty rough when I pulled onto the lot to look at the miata, but the CEL was gone...but when they asked about my trade they fired it up and the CEL came back. He had it looked at and it looks like it was low compression on #4 and then popped the HG as he said it was leaking coolant (I never saw any, so its possible it wasn't). Either way, I wasn't about to try and drive it home...so I worked a deal with them, and took the Miata home.

Thank you it was a lot of fun to build and learned a bunch. It looks a whole lot harder that it was and with some time and a few books, anyone can do it. It you have a solid engine (like a crate or rebuild), the swap is so easy. If you not doing any body or paint, the only thing you need to sub out is the exaust. The SB Ford route can be done for around $10k and the LS route is more like $15k.
What I would recomend if you have some cash to put in you new ride is to go with a supercharger kit. There are a couple really good units out there and will completely transform the car. That, some good tires and a sway bars and you will have a race car.

Congrats! I've slowly warmed up to the NCs. NBs are still my favorite though. NCs almost necessarily have to have springs to look good. Hint hint.

Yeah, on the agenda is a FM suspension kit w/ springs/koni's and some sways. A supercharger will have to be quite some time down the road.

Already planned. lol
Bring it out to the auocross. It is rare we see a NC Miata.

You should head out to the Fly'n Miata Summer Camp in August. There is a track day, open house at their shop, cruise's , seminars and more. My wife and I went last year and had a blast. Plan on going this year.
