Mortose wrote:WEEELLLLLLLLL.......... As some of you know, I've run into a bit of a snag with the rims that i bought, the snag being a full crack through one of the spokes. Needless to say, i was a little put off. the situation has been taken care of, and all is well (other than the fact that i 3 good rims, and a paper weight sitting in my garage).

I have searched high and low to find a replacement for the bad rim, so that i have a full set. Come to find out, they were discontinued by Rota right around 10 YEARS AGO!!!!!!

But....... a new direction is underway, and I will not be saying what it is. You will just have to wait till next week!

Have you contacted Wheeldude.com? I had a set of Rota Formula Mesh in an "at the time" discontinued size and color and cracked the rim straight through, and they had an extra one I was able to purchase. If I remember correctly, he said they try and keep a few in stock after being discontinued just for reasons like this. Can't hurt to try (if you haven't already).

Sorry to hear about the crack in yours. Rota's are fairly fragile. This is how mine cracked after a pretty big pot hole hit.

Let me dig through some olllllllllllllld emails and see if I still have the guys cell number (can't recall his name at the moment). Calling them would be better, as you're sure to reach someone or at least get a call back fairly quickly.

Alright, well it dawned on me the other day that wheels are an expensive, virtually non performance (unless you race) mod, for ALOT of money. So I have foregone the idea and process for a much more needed mod..... A new head unit! Lol. I know I know, but my stock one is crapping out on me, and I would like a bit of an upgrade. So on Friday my new Eonon D5102 head unit will be at my door.

Gotta stay happy when you're in the car! :) Let us know how you like it. Eonon was one of the ones I was considering, but went with the Qualir instead.
