Dipped

Postby geo2maz » Sat Aug 11, 2012 9:14

Monster Green dip stage 1.
Ran out of dip after 4 gallons so it's not as solid as it should be, 2 more gallons on the way next week.
Color is very fluorescent and is hard to capture with a camera,

Dip process involved 3 deep-car-washes, 3 hours of masking and prep, 8 hours of spraying. Halfway through i almost passed out from heat & vapors, (also forgot to eat)
Cost so far $500

Are you going to leave your emblems on the back color-matched? I wouldn't mind seeing those get the black treatment that the front flying-M got.

The back one is black now too... that rear-picture was right after i dipped it and i hadn't peeled that emblem yet, so now the logo is black, but the mazdaspeed txt is still green, will get a new picture soon
