Do you think there is any negative attitude between gen 1 and Genpu mazdaspeed 3 owners ( just a question for discussion )

I have Gen1 and I don't have any problems with Gen2.

not too much, it wouldn't make sense to hate one vs the other sine they are the same car, but understandably people have their preference...

I like gen1 more, but the Genpu's have really grown on me, especially nice modded ones,

I'm sure it's true. I am that way with the gen2 RX-8. Every time I see on I can't stand it unless it's an R3 with the slight bumper change. It's still nice and an rx-8 but I can't appreciate some of the changes they did to it. Like tail lights and headlights, or even the side vent and front bumper. The R3 is different enough with the bumper and side skirts that I like it more than the standard trim.

I just hate the changes but not the car or person that has one. I like gen2 speed3s more than the gen2 Mazda 3. Especially nicely modded ones like KillerViz's. But the Gen 1 speed 3 I like slightly more again just because of some of the aesthetics.

There's always bias to favor something you own and like vs. a newer/older version of it.

A MS3 is a MS3 regardless of what gen. I do prefer gen 1's but I have seen some really nice Gen 2's around.

I would say its closer to a sibling rivalry. not hate by any means, but more so poking fun at each other.

This. I like both gens of MS3. Mustangs on the other hand, all Mustangs pre-2011 are basically garbage. Well, I shouldn't say all, but for the last 20 years or so. I actually do like older ones, but all of them from 1994-2010 save for the Terminators were crap. I know they're the same car, but it's not even a sibling rivalry thing, they're just underperforming turds.

Both gens of MS3 at least have similar performance so it's really just a looks preference, and I definitely prefer the looks of the first gen, but the second gens have grown on me a bit.

I can't stand the Mustangs of the 80's (79-93 I think). They don't even look like mustangs. Started looking better 1999 and up but the performance lacked.
