The shop that did my oil change recommended a trans fluid flush but I've read some bad things about it and its a little pricey and I'm also not sure I trust that shop for anything more then an oil change (they upcharge like crazy) Is it recommended for my car? If so, How often should I have it done?

I got mine done when i bought the car with 112k miles, it helped and didnt affect anything.
