Anyone have had this happened to their Mazda 3? This magically started when I came back from vacation after letting a friend house sit... and supposely never used my car... (right). Anyway, between 10-20mph it's a low but deep humming, if I go from 20-75mph for speed limits... it is louder and a deeper humming. Also when I turn left or right it'll "click", which I hope that made sense. Would anyone know what this is?
I know going to the Mazda dealership is probably going to be a waste of time tomorrow after work, BUT I need to know :/ If anyone is in Pueblo, and wants to give it a shot tomorrow afternoon/evening, I'm willing for to take a shot...

That would be my first guess. CV joint would be another possibility. It seems likely that its a drivetrain component since it occurs when the vehicle is moving. Its probably after the final drive (diff) if it gets louder with road speed and not engine speed. Clicking when turning indicates a change when the part is either loaded or moved to a different orientation.
Wheel bearings are known for "clicking" when they badly need service, but a CV joint also meets the above observations. Either one should be fairly easy to diagnose.

Awesome. would this also be a issue if I haven't had my 30k and 65k checkup yet on the car? She has 90k miles on her.

I don't think a wheel bearing would have been replaced during 30k or 60k maintenance. I also don't think they even inspect them at those intervals but I could be wrong. But you could be heading for other issues if you've never done any of the maintenance on the car. But my guess would be wheel bearing also for this particular issue. Sounds just like what my Miata was doing when I first bought it and that was the cause.

Wheel bearing all the way...If you hear it clicking when you're turning, it's because there is too much pressure on the bearing and it can't properly spin the wheel. Honestly, the clicking is a sign of it going out very soon. I'd replace at least the fronts as soon as possible. My friend had a cougar and it started clicking, she let it go for a few months and the wheel locked up on her one day while she was driving.
Wheel bearings are supposed to be inspected at 30k according to every service schedule I've ever seen. 60k typically ends up being a 30k service plus a few additional things. I could see it being easily skipped by a lazy tech though.
Also, I recommend servicing both sides. Usually when one side goes out, the other side will fail in a few months. The bearings themselves are usually fairly cheap, the service might cost a bit if there is a need to press them in or out, but for the most part getting both sides done won't be too expensive and its cheap insurance/comfort. If the wheel doesn't lock up when the bearing fails, the other failure mode is the wheel falling off, which is a very bad thing to happen at speed.

Yeah, I have a appiontment on Friday around 4p, hopefully I get off work in time. They said 80$ to check and 225$ for the wheel barring... Is it recommended to do both sides then?

Thank you for clarifying. I wasn't sure.
And yea I ended up replacing 3 out of the 4 when it started happening on mine. Seemed like once I replaced one, another would start making noise.

Funny story, it's neither of those - it's the motor mount and it'll be about312$ to fix it - will be done on Thursday.
