For those who haven't heard, I picked up a Miata this weekend that's being shipped to me from Pennsylvania. It's a '99 with (drumroll) 32,000 miles on it!!

You may be asking yourself, "How did she find this car?" It's simple. It belonged to my grandfather. He's getting too old to enjoy it so he let me have it as an early birthday present.

It's a silver soft top with the 1.8L engine. She runs strong and has little to no body damage on her. I'm really excited that I am going to be able to drive this car.

The plan is to make it a summer only vehicle that's prepped for RTR in Solo and will have a roll bar for the track. I'd like to vinyl wrap it black and get some pink powder coated wheels on it (gotta keep with the theme.) As soon as she's in my garage I'll post pictures for everyone.

Needless to say, I'm happy I'll be getting back into a Mazda :) I forgot how much I missed them until I drove this car through the hills of Pennsylvania.

Congrats, what a great excuse to get active here again. Yay, more mx-5s in the mix. (Mine's quite a beater). Sounds like the best possible end for grandfather's miata-- keep it in the family!

Ill post pics as soon as I get her here. She's in Pennsylvania for the next week or so. Then she will be a Colorado girl.

Thanks guys!!! Now I won't feel awkward showing up to a Mazda meet in a Subaru.

Sweet. Keeping the WRX for driving in the winter? My Miata is my snow car, lol. Slap some winter tires on it and zoom zoom through the snow.

WRX is definitely going to be the snow car. AWD is more fun in the snow :)

Yeah... That's too much pink. I thought about it but then I'd have a hell of a time getting a guy codriver in that. Don't think it didn't cross my mind though.
