A joint venture like Toyota and Subaru.
Alfa do the designing and Mazda do the building... I hope.

I really hate that so many car companies try to shove the same grill onto all their cars now. That grill looks hideous on a Miata. And that rear end is horrible. Not that I was a huge fan of the NC anyway, but I really don't like this new one.

And so help me if they start saying Skyactiv this and Skyactiv that about yet another model...

that isn't the actual pictures of the cars. They haven't released the real pictures yet.

no joke. Glad it's a shop... I am curious though about the end result of the partnership.

PS... the Skyactive engine is pretty remarkable man... 14:1 compression and standard fuel. Just love the engineering behind it vs recent trends of auto "technology".

Just looking at body lines, and not the fascias, the Alfa rendering looks more like a Miata than the Miata render does.

I get that they're doing cool things engineering-wise, but Skyactiv is just a buzzword they throw on everything and it's gotten old.

Well, "Skyactiv" is not just an engine. It's the more efficient engine with higher output, lighter body and chassis while being more rigid, more efficient transmission and not sure if regenerative braking is included or not.

Not sure how else you want to sum all that up without using the one word that supposed to identify their new technology. Basically, it's the whole car and not just the engine.
