Could one of those shops have done something to cause a leak? I hate to soind like a pessimist, but other problems always arise whenever I take vehicles in.

Hehe, I've had pretty good luck with a certain establishment as of late..but I've had a terrible history, with multiple shops- where I get my whip back and something completely unrelated is having problems.

x2 on gear selector. I wouldn't bother diagnosing it, it's barely a leak. You should see the puddles under my truck. How many miles are on your ride?

K thanks :)
It's got 80K
I'll just keep a close eye on it, i'm assuming if it gets bad the first symptoms that would come up would be related to shifting? (like sticky shifting)

so now, i noticed the radio-lcd flickers a little when i go from neutral to first gear (when i take off) wtf?

then the engine light came on and the code is for 'low coolant' or 'faulty ECT sensor'
yet the coolant level doesn't look that low,

could the leak pictured be coolant and not oil like i thought?
is there a way to tell the difference? (I dipped my finger in the leak and ran water over it, the water beads up and rolls off finger as if it were oil, but does coolant do the same thing?)

frustrated! ready to get rid of this ***** for real now.

I can definitely understand your frustration. I hope its just bad timing and things that can be taken care of without much headache. You are at the mileage where luvin' ($) is usually needed-- well, at least in my experience.

I've invested some proactive moolah into my KDM over the past year...and its a cherry whip- so its not uncommon swee.

I do, but no bites at all (purposely overpriced)

Today I added coolant and reset the CEL and it hasn't come back up, but 'oil' leak is still there... hrmmmm
