It's gonna happen, although I am sure the design will be tweaked substantially from the concept... but I'm excited to see another light RWD competitor to the FRS and BRZ.

Sadly, this. I can't even think about that whip. They never turn out even remotely as cool as the concepts:mellow:

I like that alot! I hope they change the aspect ratio of the rear a little. Kinda tall and skinny looking from behind. And lose the Aston Martin looking taillights, they look out of place.

If it's half as fun as my '71 510 and has back seats I'd buy one.

That thing has style written nowhere all-over-it.

If Toyota makes anything remotely similar to their FT-1 concept, however...

ditto... The BRZ just didn't quite do it for me... but a modern 510 with slightly more HP would be very fun

To steal from Colin Chapman, I hope they add lightness. The best thing about my '71 was it's 2000lb curb weight. It made the 120-ish hp mean something and made the car handle really well.

Okay, so the white with and red-accented "racing" one doesn't look that bad I suppose. It is unique with the side exhaust and the "purpose built" theme it's going for. The wheels are tits... menacing fascia...

But then look at the road-going one. The wheels are garbage, the color is horrid, the front clip is boring and almost looks unfinished. I dunno... 1950's futurism called; they want their idea back. I really do hate to be a hater without seeing it in person, but it doesn't do anything for me. At all.

I'd like to see a combo of both personally. The dual front lights homage to the 510 with more styling queues of the red/white one.
