With the wave of new Miata owners on the forum now, I would high recommend making the time to attend the Flying Miata Summer Camp.
https://www.flyinmiata.com/news/summercamp/index.phpMy wife and I have attended the last 3 years and is a must for any Miata owner. There are people that come from all over the country (one guy has driven from New York every years for the last 8 years), the track days are a blast and you will learn more than you ever wanted at the seminars. The evening cruise through the National Monument in the grand mesa is a must. There are also tons of other things to do for the non-Miata people you bring along.
Depending on how far along I am with my car build, I am going to try to make it.

I plan on making it this year. Still haven't decided if I'll go solo or bring the wife and kiddo along.

We brought the kid last years and he did great. There are tons for things that the wife and kid can go do during the day and then the evening events are family friendly (Sonic Meet, banquet and so on).

Oh, I'm not worried about them being entertained, I just might want my own vacation!

I'll try and get the time off of work in order to make it to this. It looks like a good time.

I attended last year, only Friday to Sunday. This year, I'll get there on Thursday. Looking forward to it!

Crap, I did the Miata tune up/oil change last night @ Skip's. He told me that the track time was almost full. I called FM this morning, to sign up, and I'm #7 on the wait list for both Thursday and Friday. Duggumit, next year I'm signing up in April!

I think I'm out, now. I have other plans on the 1st (well, my wife had other plans for us) which kind of kills going. Driving out on Saturday and coming back Sunday seems kind of silly. Bummer, as I was quite excited to go. I think I'm replacing this with a visit to the ST Octane Academy.

Unfortunately, I work weekends and have burned through too much vacation time this year to be able to get the time off (I blame the little lady!).
Maybe I'll plan a little better next year...

Non-miata people welcome? Well, an ex-miata person. I would at least show up in a Mazda.

They may not let you be part of the group photo, but I don't see why not! Give 'em a call and find out!

There are many other events. Let's make our own group, and not limit it to only Miatas. There's at least a few events between HPR and PMP each month. Very low threat and low numbers.
