7 Most Underrated Track Cars
It didn't say the consumables were cheap. In fact it said the exact opposite. That if you have a little more cash to burn, it's a good choice. But a Boxster being underrated as a track car is certainly laughable. Anyone who knows anything about cars knows they are a good track car, same with Miatas. Maybe this article should be "cars that people who don't know anything about cars will not know are good at the track" lol.

My parents had 2 boxsters. They corner like mad. Oil changes aren't as bad as you would think. We used to do it ourselves.

My friend said that he couldn't do them himself and the dealership got him for 500.00/change, which is where my comment came from. Also, assuming you keep oem parts on cars, Porsche is not going to cut it for replacing pads, or doing regular maintenance compared to scores of other cars.
Three is also the point that erod made: Porsche is not an underrated track car maker. Their line is dominated by sports cars, or cars that are not, but have the feel of a sports car.
