My dad is thinking of bringing his Corvette out here and my buddy wants to bring his turbo thunderbird out and they're both looking for 93 octane. I've heard of the Amoco on 32nd and Wads having 100 and the Shell on Chambers and Hampden having 92, anybody know where else to get good gas? I never really pay attention since I'm on corn fuel in the rx7.
This link is dead.

You probably already know this but in case anyone on here is curious the numbers on the pumps here are the AKI (anti knock index) which is an average of the fuel's RON (research octane number) and its MON (motor octane number) 91 AKI out of the pump is about 95 octane RON, so good news for them if he wants 93 octane. However if he needs 93 AKI that might be harder to locate.
Useless things I remember from aircraft mechanic school.

They both want whatever is labeled as 93 in the flatlands to the east.
At altitude 91 will get the job done. Less octane is needed because of the lower oxygen content in the atmosphere. Or if they're really uncomfortable with running 91 with a specialized tune or something they can just get some octane booster to use with 91.

What erod said. The lower air pressure is why you need lower octane fuels for the same results of higher octanes at sea level. The engine doesn't develop pressures as high since there's less air/oxygen in the cylinder, so you need a lower octane since the fuel is inherently less likely to detonate before sparking happens. If they come out and really experience issues, they can get tuned for the lower octane and not have any issues.
