Great write-up! I've always had a desire for a S2000 (have a Honda Prelude I really enjoy) but really wish the hardtop was cheaper/easier to find. I think an interesting car to add to the comparison would be the Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S twins.

The S2000 CR really would be the one to get if you could find/afford it.

I've honestly been meaning to drive the BRZ/FR-S for a while now, even though they both currently aren't in my budget.... Same with the BMW Z4.

I had a chance to drive an S2K CR... such an amazing car. I would love to compare it back to back with an R3 RX8.
