I like it. Progress is progress and looks likes Mazda kept to the original recipe; light, nimble and fun to drive. Some say the ND could weight as light as 2300 lbs and a redesigned engine that revs to 7500 rpms . The design to me looks like a FR-S roadster with a touch of Z4. I really would like to see one with the retractable hardtop up but based one what I have seen, looks like a great car and can't wait to drive one.

Yeah, I saw the ND on Autoblog the other day; good looking car! The rumor is Mazda was able to shave ~200 lbs off of it when compared to the NC. I'm sure it'll be a fun car to drive!

I really like it already, and I'm usually skeptical of new cars until I see them. Someone had some fun and made shooting brake version which I really like as well.

I really like that. We'll never see it though.

Unfortunately, although the next gen 'Speed 3 looks like a 5 door version and will be offered with AWD... :D

I'm in love with this car. Looks much more masculine than previous iterations imo.

It's quickly jumped to the top of my list for cars I'm considering buying post-graduation next year if finances dictate it as doable.

I like that they made it lighter. It should be back to being close to the same weight as the NA. I don't really care for the rear end, but I think it would be a lot of fun to drive.

Rumor has it that it's going to have a decrease in power too. I think Mazda will lose some business if that's the case, although I can't see that happening. I think the car needs at least 165-170bhp to keep up with the likes of the BRZ/FRS.

Something to keep in mind is that those numbers possibly (likely) aren't for the US market. A lot of the world has the 1.8 MZR as an engine only producing 126 bhp. And even in other markets, the 2.0L MZR produces about 10-15 hp less than it does here with a 5/6 speed manual. The current 2.0L SkyActiv in the 3 is rated at 155 bhp or so, and that would keep the power to weight ratio right around what it currently is.
Now if they adapted the 2.5L SkyActiv in the 6 to be longitudinally mounted and threw that in, I'd be sold. Doubt it'll happen though.
