The Making of a garage

Over the next year or two, I will be transforming the new garage into what I hope becomes a highly functional garage for working on cars and fabricating. The garage is a pretty clean slate at the moment.

Considerations are:
electrical, routed air hose connections
Insulation/wall finishing
cabinetry/work tables
flooring
lift

Should be a great time.

I guess I never added pictures of before. The garage is in progress now. Additional electrical power was added including led overhead lights, 20 amp wall outlets, 2 220 volt welder outlets and rough-in for 220v heaters. A wall was knocked out eliminating an unnecessary closet in our office and freeing up garage space.

The garage is mostly occupied by a contractor doing work in the house right now, but Chris helped me build a new entry platform to the house.

Cool. What are your flooring/storage plans?

The two stall spot will eventually be covered with rubber stall mats. The single Bay will be left bare concrete. If like to polish it, but not sure I want to spend money on that just yet. Storage is still in the future. I was planning to do high cabinets above the s2000, some storage over the garage doors, then floor and high storage along the 3rd Bay wall. That should be more than enough.

No specific plans for make of storage yet.

I need to do the same. My north facing wall is the only unfinished wall

I thought you planned to have someone else do the insulation?

Planning to have someone else do the drywall. I am even considering hanging all the drywall an the walls where the ceiling is already finished.

Did you move since I was at your house a few years ago? This garage doesn't look familiar lol.
