I don't see a problem with a 2.0.. you know.. ignoring the left have of the RPM gauge...

Fast is fast no mater how you look at it. I owe 2 forced induction vehicles and there is nothing like them but I have never owned a fast V8. There is definitely something to be said about the experience of fast and all the senses involved. I go to bed at night dreaming of the what this thing is going to be like banging through the gears with a 350+ HP V8. I cant wait!! All I can do is keep saving my money.

Nice build! This is what made me fall in love with the Miata. The first one that I looked under the hood of 4 years ago was a supercharged 5.0 that was a total sleeper. Single exhaust, factory wheels. That is how mine will look once I get around to building one. Having owned/driven a C4 Vette, I can't wait to have a V8 Miata. I wasn't impressed with the power of the Vette. The Miata should suffice. ;)

I should mention that I have seen 3 V8 Miata's now... A pair of 5.0's and this 327. Here is the video of the 327 that I saw in-progress just mere days from the initial startup

Thanks. I am just some guy playing in his garage and I am truly learning as I go. Still a lot of work ahead of me. Here are some update pics of the motor. Did some work on it this weekend.

Installed my 30lb Ford Racing Injectors, BBK billet fuel rails, BBK adjustable fuel regulator, and E3 spark plugs. Pretty much all I need know for the motor is distributor and throttle body/EGR plate.

Looks like you're making quite a bit of progress. Now that he motor is almost done, can you estimate about how much you will have into just the motor? I have seen built 302 crate motors available for just under $5k but I'm guessing you've spent quite a bit less than that so far.
