Lol same here.

Where did you check out seats? I got mine from Wine Country. They're pretty good folks.

I've been to Wine Country twice in the last week and a half or so. Going to Wine Country, I could figure out what fit me, but my nervousness was how well the seat would fit in the car. Looking online, there was a lot of contradictory information, which I know you have run into with your car. Yesterday I met up with a guy that has had a lot of seats in his S2000 and he has the Sparco Pro2000 mounted which was one of the seats I was most interested in. I liked the seat, but it did rub the door card enough to dent it and interfered with the glove box some. I think both issues could be solved with a little shaving of the wing tips. I was still planning to go that route, but then he let me check out a Recaro Pole Position which is known to be a good fit for the car. It also fit me very well. I would have considered them more before then except they couldn't be sat in at a retailer locally. Ended up buying that off of him. Need to order rails for it now.

Congrats on the seat! Are you going with sliding rails or non-adjustable?

Ordered Buddy Club Super Low Down Rail for the S2000 earlier this morning. So side mount sliders.

Nice, I wish I could've gone with sliders in the Miata. That's the downside of tall person, rollbar, and Miata.

I got the Momo Corse wheel from Junkie on Saturday (Actually DW did). It looks great and thanks to Junkie for digging up a horn button.
Short Hub has been sitting at home waiting for a quick release. Quick Release is to be delivered today. Went with an NRG V. 3.0.
Have the recaro Pole Position sitting in the closet waiting for the Buddy Club Super Low Down rails. I am hoping they will be in mid week since I got shipping confirmation this morning.
Picking up the used Profi Spec II Harness sometime this week.
No word on the rollbar, but I was told they didn't have any in stock, so it had to be built. Guessing next week sometime though.

I changed the front brake pads and DW helped me bleed the brakes on Sunday. All set for a day at the track on Saturday.

Things to do as parts arrive:
Fit seat rail and racing bucket.
Set up steering wheel/short hub/QR including wiring for a horn button and alternative mounting of cruise control switch
Install roll bar and harness
Move gauges from pillar to radio location (make CF plate for mounting, re-reun wires)

I'm thinking of running some of those wireless speakers to the phone and running from there. Anyone ever do this or seen it done? I just don't really feel a need for a full size wired car stereo in the car.

Since the track day was cancelled for weather, I woke up early and got started with fitting the race bucket. When I pulled the seat, I discovered that my car was one of those fitted with a secondary alarm from Honda that also controls the keyless doors and trunk opening. Since the harness is too small to relocate the box, I spent about an hour disconnecting the harness from the body harness, and reconnecting the body harness. To do so, I removed almost every piece of plastic from the driver's side. I only broke one push pin style fastener, which I forgot to pick up at the parts store.

Then DW came down to help fit the seat. I had it in a couple times and it was okay, but knew it could be better. I ended up cutting one slot from the top of each side mount to get the seat lower, and DW, got everything aligned. We put it back in the car with the factory seat belt connected and discovered it would be a no go. DW did an internet search and found the corvette guys were just anchoring a seatbelt extender to the rail. I ended up ordering a seatbelt extender (shipped this morning). Then I found this link: http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/960344- ... -2006-ap2/ funny how if you tpe in a specific google search the answer pops up.

Since we couldn't fit the seat and retain any sort of restraint system, we moved on to installing the NRG Short Hub, NRG 3.0 QR and speedjunkie's momo wheel. DW, pulled the steering wheel and took a look at the hub and noticed a problem right away. The back was solid and wouldn't fit with the S2000's SRS reel. More googling revealed that people were just removing the SRS reel and losing their horn buttons and cruise control. The loss of a horn button was a no go for me. Upon further look at the NRG sight, I saw they have a S2000 compatible hub with resistors and a cut out to retain the horn and eliminate the airbag light. So for anyone looking to do this on an S2000, I'd suggest part number 131 as opposed to 130. I will verify once it comes in this week and I can get it installed.

So, after all of that, the car came out basically the same without the additional factory alarm and the loss of keyless entry. I had to order new fobs...which I hope will be in this week too.

I was feeling a little overwhelmed that day with stuff not going right, but it is only a couple of different parts away from being gtg. The bigger issue is going to be fabricating a functional bracket for the 5/6 belts of the harness that will attach to the seat rail. I have a plan, but not sure it will work. It was also suggested I reweld the slider. Reports say they didn't do a great job welding them and I would agree based on my visual inspection. Since I'll be welding on the assembly anyway, shouldn't be a big deal.

I still need to put that roll bar in though. Just want to make sure my ducks are all lined up with the exception of that before I go there.

According to email and amazon, all of the parts have shipped (short hub, extender, and key fobs). Should have everything GTG before Saturday. Will be very interesting to drive the car in the new low low seating position.

It was a fun afternoon of mods then return to stock!
I really liked how low that seat was, but I can see how it will take getting used to on the street. When you got down into it you lost all visibility of the corners of the car.
I think it is all going to come together nicely with the other hub adapter and the belt extender. and since we got the seat adjusted pretty good it should just drop right in now.
That 6 point is alot to deal with though, 5/6 will be a problem with day to day driving.
Gives me the modification fever a little bit.

I'll retain factory belts, which is why I would like to figure out if I can unpin all 5 clips on the dial. That way I can take the connector piece off, tuck away all of the harness belts, and run the 3 pt.

I can't figure out why the forums are saying having a roll bar is worse than stock...how does it behave any differently than the factory roll protection? Since it is higher, I would think you are less likely to hit it, but maybe that's the point. Factory protection is height of the seat back...

Oh, on the 5/6 bracket, I'm considering going through the floor. Most people who will drive the car with harness will be similar in size. really think building a bracket would be better from a maintaining of the car standpoint though.
