Even if they were at 4:30, they would stick out more than anything else at the hub. The next generation of bracket will fix that. I just need to find time to visit DW and use his tig machine to run a few beads.

The other alternative is to mount them is less accessible places. Given the lack of use my cruise control sees, I probably should have just stripped it. However, it isn't a problem to have it where it is.

Overall, that looks good. I had the same issue with the distance to the stalks on the columns. When's the roll bar going in?

Roll Bar will go in fairly soon. A matter of finding willing hands with the time for an 8 hour day. Probably grossly overstating the install time since I will not be reinstalling a lot of the plastics right away if ever.

One good thing is it should be a lot easier to install since you can just drop it in from overhead lol.

Should be pretty straightforward, but it will require removing the majority of the interior. It also requires cutting the wheel wells and drilling holes. Since you really only get one shot, IT will be a methodical process.

I sent you a calendar request. If you are free and want to help drop a roll bar in an s2000, it would be great to have you there.

Well got caught in a hail storm today. Worst I have seen personally and the car did not fare well. I used a shammy to dry it off once I got it into the garage and can see numerous hail marks in the hood. There is a little slit in the rear plastic window. Not sure what hail damage to a convertible top looks like, but based on everything else, I'm wondering if there might not be some damage to it. Given the flat nature of the fenders and trunk, I'm not terribly optimistic they aren't dinged up too.

Double bonus is the avalanche was parked outside. I'm going to have to take a good look at it too, but unless the sheet metal is significantly heavier, I'm guessing it is going to look like a dark grey golf ball.

After looking at the hood and roof of the avalanche, looks like the PDR place will be working on at least the hood. The depth and size of the dings in it are far worse than the S2000. A co-worker that lives nearby showed me some pictures of hail that he had taken and I am not surprised the truck is far worse and mam happy I didn't get hit by that hail in my car. I'd guess it was about the diameter of a dollar coin. The S2000 isn't too bad. I'm going to have the pros look at it, but am hopeful the dings are light enough that they can be easily pulled and that there aren't so many that it makes it cost prohibitive.

Well that sucks a big one. Sorry man.

I don't believe I'm gonna be able to make it this weekend for the roll cage install. I forgot about my buddy's wedding that day.

Because hail is considered an "act of God," it will not affect your insurance cost. If it costs more than the deductible, you will still only have to worry about the deductible.

Just got off the phone with the insurance company. She said that the number of claims can affect you, even though they are not at fault. However, they are thinking this event will end up being a "catastrophe", which changes things for the benefit of the insured. Hopefuly stopping by the PDR place I like on my way home tonight.

SRS light came on again. I pulled the connection to the resistors down to see if there was something loose there. The connections to the fuse seemed a little loose. I'll pull it down again when I get home, secure it with tape a little bit, then go through the reset procedure and see what happens. Otherwise...prepping for track tonight (loading tools).

SRS light reset with the air bag in. Put the resistors back in line and the light stayed off. Excellent.

DWDUC and Huzer came over on Saturday and installed my roll bar. There was a ton of work to get all of the rear interior removed, then some cutting and drilling of the car. It isn't quite done yet as I still need to spray it with undercoat. The last photo shows a sealant dw gave me to use. That went over some expanding foam. The undercoat will cover all of that.

Sorry I couldn't make it to help. I forgot about a buddy's wedding and I had a business BBQ to attend also.

Looks good. Still can't believe the amount of headroom with the cushions off the seat. I was significantly lower in your car than I was in the Miata.

Car looked good on you. This fall they will be miata price again. Save them pennies. Haha.

The seat cushion comment reminded me that DW installed the harness bolts in the floor pan and Huzer even installed the rollbar foam and cover while I executed a home depot (spray foam) and O'Reilly (undercoat) run. And I neglected to put that sealant on the plates under the car for the harness bolts.
