The other (driver) side seems to be in much better shape in terms of corrosion when I looked at it quickly. maybe just a hint of surface rust under a 1/4" of peeling undercoat around the bushing? The side pictured here has definitely gone through at least some steel. My first tool to attack it will probably be an angle grinder with wire wheel, and it'd be a good excuse to drop in some new shocks and bushings.
I haven't looked at it from above yet, will want to remove the rear cargo area liner to expose the mount. They provide flaps that can be cut into the liner to prevent such need, but I don't want to really cut my interior trim if I can help it and probably need more space to work anyway.
