Yes, I did a small (1/8") blue pinstrip on the outer edge of the lip.

In sadder news, my car is throwing that P0113 code again (Air intake Temperature high reading). I cleared it via battery disconnect. Checked the splice for looseness. Seemed tight. Could be the fairly new sensor....but I doubt it.

Starting to place bling bits into the engine bay. Password JDM anodized washers and stainless steel screws as well as Password JDM radiator stays. Powdercoat guy says valve cover tomorrow.:)

I'm pretty sure that S2k has a Toyota 2JZ in it haha. Still cool nonetheless though.

Absolutely does. To get that much torque to the rear wheels, the minimum would be to throw a supra tranny in there, so may as well throw in a 2jz.

Interestingly, I was thinking yesterday while walking into work from the car, that it would be fun to build a torque monster of a muscle car. I've never had the pleasure.

What is additionally interesting to me about the car is that it has a really expensive bumper on there (might be a J's racing, but can't tell for sure) With the front end getting slammed on launches like that, I would think the bumper would take a beating...though I'm sure the drop to the ground isn't too bad as long as you stay in the throttle and use the decrease in torue as the gear whines out lower the front (obviously have never done a car wheelie)

From a look at the picture, I don't think that wheel stand was expected. The rear tires aren't wrinkled and the rear tire load is light. I'm guessing the guy is off the throttle by the time the picture was taken. Those thin spoke wheels up front are not beefy by wheel stander standards. He is also a bit of a distance from the start line. That looks like it could have happened from a bounce or he usually carries the front and this time it climbed. Cool picture, but I think that car got hurt moments after the pic.

How was the autocross this past weekend? How bout your project cars?

I'm back to wanting a solid bar for my car. Will simplify construction hopefully. Wondering if you might have some time after Christmas to do a little work with me on the car. Seeing some different things to clean up shifting, eliminate gear grind, and such.

Glad to see you kicking around in here!

Posed the car in front of that wood door I like again. Thought it looked pretty good.

Pick up my Valve Cover today. Powdercoater sent me a photo and it loos great. Probably install later this week.

Event went great - weather was NICE!

The Datsun is still in pieces but parts are arriving. As soon as that is back on wheels, we'll get you in. The dash got pulled the day befrore the autocross. I now have to simplify engine wiring to get it to run again. Looking for a GM alternator to make the charging system a bit less complicated. This will end up having the bare minimum for engine control. I have a feeling that will be my Christmas (4 day weekend) project.

Well, picked up my valve cover. Not sure I'm totally happy with it. Not sure if my expectations were too high, or if the finsih is as good as it gets. I figured since the powder coat melts on, there would be no anomolies in the finish. The picture above is actually darker than it turned out, but that obviously varies with light since it is a candy coat.
