I really need to get the plastic cupholder piece that snaps into the center console. It's really annoying when I stop somewhere to grab dinner and have to hold one drink between my legs and prop the other drink against the seat belt in the passenger seat and hope it doesn't fall over, lol.

Is it a 1.6 or a 1.8?

Pulled out the old seats, removed the center console tonight. Just trying to get in a little cleaning. Cleaned the seats from Ron, and hopefully will get the carpet cleaned tomorrow so I can put the new seats and deep cleaned console back in. This thing was FULL of leaves and miscellaneous other crap. Pulled out about 2 miles of old stereo wiring. Eventually, the center console will be replaced, it's pretty beat up, but it'll do for now. Pics to follow...

All this"cleaning" could be averted by making it into a big kid go kart.

Looking forward to the pictures. I'm sure they will look good.

That carpet is a mess, lol.

Those new seats look good. Are the new wheels any better that what was on the car?

Yup, the main difference is that the new wheels are painted. The ones on my car are polished and are quite neglected. I prefer the look of the painted.

The carpet is dirty, but thankfully not stained or town. It just needs a good vacuuming and cleaning. I've already cleaned up the new seats. I'm working on cleaning up the center console. I have no idea how people let shit get so freaking grimy/dirty/messy. Slobs!!!

the interior of my black rx was about like that. I found porn under my seat instead of leaves, haha. (waits for tut)

I decided to forego doing too much bodywork now, as it's akin to polishing a turd at this point. Definitely need to focus on a mechanical resto first. Of course, cleaning up the interior to make it more comfortable was a priority, too. Here's a cleaned up interior. Still needs a bit of work, but it's already light years ahead of what it was. Pulled out the cheap arse radio and the miles of cable buried behind it.

What keeps me from doing more at this point is budget and driveability. I want to be able to drive this summer, and if I start too much, it'll be on the shelf until next spring. Hopefully, by mid June, the suspension will be complete (entirely new shock assemblies. I won't be reusing mounts, etc) bushings, sways. Brakes will be next, and after that, I dunno...whatever needs fixing.

Wow, that cleaned up really well. Unless that photo is deceiving- the dash actually looks great (not faded, cracked, etc.)
