The interior is in great shape, now that it's been cleaned. The dash has no cracks at all. I need a window crank for the passenger side, and a new door pull on the driver side for it to be complete. I'm on the fence about either putting in a new head unit, or just leaving it out. I'm leaning towards leaving it out and putting in a blanking plate.

Head unit, as in radio? Who drives without tunes? Certainly not I! How else are you going to listen to your Canadian garage grunge? Besides, head units are cheap-cheap.

Did a "first pass" degrease on the engine pay today. It went from horrible to very presentable. I only took a pic once I was 3/4 done, so it doesn't do justice to the level of neglect it was at prior. There are plenty of missing bolts, broken clamps, etc. I found quite a few random items tucked up the cowl...the hood prop rod, a couple of clamps, a plastic item that I have no idea where it may go.

The tires on the car are fairly dry rotted, so I haven't decided if I'll straight swap the tires/wheels from Ron on the car, or if I'll purchase new. The 205s look a bit truckish on the stock wheels.

What kind of cleaner did you use in the engine bay? Any special tools, like toothbrushes and such- to get into the small areas?

It did clean up nicely. Well done. Wish my seat covers would work on those, but they had removable headrests. Would like to see them in a nice home at this point.

I just used Simple Green and a rag. To get into small area, just folded the rag up and squished it in. Still needs a LOT of cleaning, that was just the first pass when I had an hour to kill on Sunday.

I'd actually say I drive with the radio off most of the time, especially in the Mustang. Who needs a radio when you have the sweet sound of a V8 to listen to. I do use the radio in my Miata more than the one in the Mustang, but still I'd say I drive with it off at least half the time. It is nice to have the option though.

For now, no stereo. Even if I picked one up for stupid cheap, that's stupid cheap money I can spend on more pressing areas of the car. Eventuall I may add one, but it's not on the priority list at all. If I absolutely feel I need tunes while I'm driving, I'll take the truck, instead.

Now that I'm back from vacation, I'm hoping to get out to the junkyard this weekend. I've been sitting out of town just itching to get back and work on the Miata!
