That's about how I felt about my FoST with Blizzak's on it- very competent in the snow, better than I imagined it was going to be. The A3 with snows is a tank. This is my first set of Michelin X-Ice Xi3's and I really like them. You got the same tires right? They seem to be a good compromise snow tire- very good in the snow/ice, I think I would have to push the car harder to see the difference between them and Blizzak's, but civilized on dry pavement. They feel more like all-seasons when driving around town and on the freeway- quieter, smoother and more stable at higher speeds than snow tires I've used in the past.

I'm not shocked you're already thinking about another Tundra; and I have no room to talk! I liked my FoST, it was a good car. One of the best cars on the market for the money IMO. But I never really loved the car. It was a good idea financially that helped me to take care of what I needed to do money-wise, and still have a good time driving. Although I still missed my VW's.... Fortunately, like yourself, I only paid $19.7k for it, and was able to trade it in for $18.7k. For a car to only depreciate $1000 in its first year (generally steepest depreciation year) is impressive. Although it would have been painful for anyone that bought a fully loaded model at MSRP! I, like yourself, also paid no taxes on my FoST due to my trade-in being worth more than the FoST! The only downside to this is that its an easy car to get rid of!

Since you seem to go through cars at a similar rate as me, I'll take a stab at it: 6 months until you have another Tundra; seem reasonable? :)

I just registered for the ST Octane Academy, I'm going on 5/1 and 5/2, I figured a quick weekend jaunt to Utah isn't a bad thing! That's the latest date I could get, you're only eligible to attend for 1 calendar year after buying your ST, and I bought mine (as you can tell from the start date of this very thread) on May 2, 2014.

The rear passenger door needs to get adjusted. It's to the point now where it's hard for my wife to open the front door, as the weatherstripping overlaps between the two doors. I could most likely do it myself, but that's what warranties are for.

Stuff like this pisses me off. Called and made a service appt on Sat. When I explained what I needed done, getting the door aligned, I spoke with a service adviser person. So, I show up at 7 AM this morning, and talk to a service adviser. He takes a look, and immediately says he has to send me to the body shop. The body shop is at a different location, they don't open until 8, and I'll have to call and make another appointment.

Grr, they knew what the deal was, should've just told me to make an appt at the body shop to start with.

Follow up, body shop was a bit miffed the dealer sent me over there for warranty work. Ha. I soon as I mentioned warranty, she said "Man, that's a lot of paperwork, let's just pull it in here and get it fixed really quick." Which they did. Door looks good now and no longer rubs. I did have to clean the interior afterward though, as there was shop dust all over the place, steering wheel, windows sills, seats, etc. Handprints, mostly.

Color me happy that my issue is resolved, but not in how it was handled.

Yep, I hate the greasy handprints too. I mean I know you're busy and all but you can't wash your hands real quick or put on a clean pair of gloves for the 2 min you're moving my car?

As of today, the ST is no more. Traded in for a 2015 Tacoma DoubleCab TRD Sport. Trade in offer for the ST was $19,500. The Focus was fun,it just never felt 'right' for me. I missed having a truck, and while I really liked the Tundra, it was quite large. Tacoma is a better fit for the family.
